The Quest For Knowledge

Everyone is hungry for knowledge!  And there is a LOT of knowledge available online wherever you look.  People are eager to share what they know about any given subject.  The internet is an enormous storehouse of information!  And it’s all right there at your fingertips.  The trick is how to find what you’re looking for out there in the vastness of cyberspace.

You can be as vague, or as specific as you want. Just type a keyword…or a bunch of them… into Google’s search box and it will bring up page after page after page of what it perceives you’re looking for.   If you’re lucky you will learn a little more about your subject with each link that you click on.  You should at least gain enough information to be able to choose the correct terminology which will get you closer to unearthing a motherlode of information.

How does Google do that?!  I think only the brainiacs at Google can answer that question.  And I’ll go out on a limb and say not that many of us would understand their answer.  What it boils down to is those keywords.  Even before I’m finished typing in my query, Google already has some hint and will put up a list of what it thinks I’m going after.  Some days I love to fool it and pose a query where it just gives up on guessing and will actually let me finish typing.  I’ve managed to do that a few times, but not very often.

Those keywords are key in getting your blogs and web sites found too.  Google has special algorithms they’ve developed that search out not only keywords, but also original content.  So, aside from including keywords in whatever you write, also remember to just be yourself.  Sprinkle a generous helping of your own personality into your content along with those keywords and you’re sure to be recognized by those Googlebots!
